Information

CENTRAL TEXAS CLE

On Jan. 5 - 8, 2012, the CLE will convene in San Marcos, Texas, to engage in conversation about the politics of education and community development. This CLE will revisit the historical context of Central Texas, its contribution to the national consciousness and political ethos through its most recognizable citizen, President Lyndon B. Johnson. Within this context, participants will discuss how their own stories are connected to building sustainable and healthy communities. Those personal stories will contribute to the dialogue and set the stage for visits to local community-based organizations. These site visits and discussions will inform and create the space for insightful team reflections, analysis, and action planning.

There is a great blog post from Mi Casa about their experience at this CLE and information about the work they are doing with schools in the Denver area.  Check it out http://micasaresourcecenter.blogspot.com/2012/01/community-learning...

Thanks for sharing Karen, Cody, Ryan and Ronaldo and keep up the great work.

I just wanted to send a reminder to everyone: "Don't step on the artifacts!"

I hope you all are well.  When you have a chance post a little update on what your team is doing now that you are home. We love to share stories. Several members of our National team are in New York right now meeting with people from Public School 24 in Brooklyn. PS 24 is going to host the next CLE in May or June 2012, so stay tuned.
