This is beautiful! The petals are like butterflies, some tiny and maturing, some larger, ready to take flight!

Wow that's so cool to see what a little seed can become. We are just like seeds we start out small but as we progress we can become powerful and helpful.

Thanks for this reminder that the seeds planted at the central Texas CLE will continue to grow long into the future!

Response to Monica's question on "ground back home":

*Cosecha Voices raised about $2,000 this past weekend through a car show they organized; this helps them push their programming forward;

*a Llano Grande team, in addition to Tino, Sam, and four other south Texas teachers are gearing up for the North Dakota Study Group; Sam, his wife, a Llano Grande team, and I will deliver a presentation on our BRACERO ORAL HISTORY project at a Texas State Leadership conference next week;

*and we watered our UTPA Mexican American Studies plants through a two day retreat last weekend at the Llano Grande house.

Dear All,

What a treasured experience in Texas.  The seeds are a manifestation of our continued connections.  Gracias a Monica for such an idea and to all for contributing such wisdom.

This is fabulous! What a fertile, nurturing environment we had there.  Please post another follow up photo soon.
